Race - High Elf

High Elf: Sworn Defenders of the Laws of Tunare

Shorter and slighter than humans, the lithe high elves have facial features that are graceful and captivating. The high elf complexion is pale and flawless; facial hair is rarely present. Both genders keep their fine silky hair long and it is always dressed in elegant designs. An ancient race, the high elves maintain a high standard of elegance. Their armor is always in pristine condition and their robes of the richest materials. Elven work is sought after in Norrath as they have secrets of elven tailoring and metalwork to themselves. Elven metal work is usually unexpectedly light, while still retaining strength and durability. Their tailoring of the finest and rarest threads and cloths.

Both intelligent and wise, high elves make exceptional mages and priests. High elven scouts are less common as many feel the profession beneath them, but their natural agility makes them quite suited to the job.

Background:

High Elves, or Koada'Dal, are the fair-skinned creation of Tunare, Goddess of Growth. Tall and slender, high elves embody elegance and culture. The Koada'Dal appreciate art and design, surrounding themselves with examples of their artistic and intellectual superiority. Their home city of Felwithe with pristine stone and marble buildings are a fine example of this. Above all else, high elves are an orderly and disciplined people. Their mortal enemies are the Dark Elves who embrace Hate, the antithesis of all that Tunare is.

High elves see themselves as the chosen Elves of Tunare and their benevolent, condescending treatment of other good races show a well developed sense of egotism. To them, their wood elf cousins exist chiefly to do their bidding, and most other good races are merely tolerated. Evil races are beneath them and worthy only of a quick and efficient death.

Faith:

High elves worship Tunare, the Mother of All. Even though she has apparently withdrawn from Norrath, they believe that she will return and help her chosen children regain their ancestral home. Koada'Dal templars and paladins remain devoted to Tunare's teachings.
