Gnomes are smallest of the races of Norrath. Averaging 3.5 feet, they
are slight and light. They have very pronounced facial features and their
hair styles are often flamboyant and pointy. Gnomes are a very social
race find themselves at home in just about any situation. Their high intelligence
and agility make them excellent mages or natural scouts. With their wisdom
Gnome salso find themselves drawn to the priestly profession

Background:
Gnomes are a tiny, slightly built race created by Brell Serilis, Duke
of Below, god of the underfoot. What they lack in size they make up for
in tenacity and ingenuity. As they are lacking in physical strength, many
gnomes concentrate on intellectual pursuits through the study of magic
and science, a system called mechanimagica. They construct "clockwork"
devices, essentially mechanical versions of all manner of creatures, from
rats to dragons including clockwork gnomes to aid them in the completion
of manual labor.
Gnomes claim kinship to the Dwarves as both races were created by Brell.
Like their cousins, the dwarves, gnomes are adept miners with a love for
precious gems and the metals of the earth. Gnomes are known for their
inquisitive nature, coupled with their intellect, this nature has them
constantly creating new devices, formulas, strategies and sometimes mischief.
This inquisitive nature often leads them into trouble, but their crafty
minds always lead them out!
Faith
Due to their tenacious and ingenious nature, Gnomes who choose a religious
path often pursue it with extreme fervor, to the extent of overcoming
their physical limitations to become devout crusaders. Gnomes who walk
the path of light usually worship either Brell or Bristlebane. Those walking
the path of darkness worship Bertoxxulous the Plaguebringer.
