Dwarf: Masters of Steel and Stone
Averaging 4 feet in height, the Dwarves of Norrath are short but solidly
built and have long been one of Norrath's strongest races. The race is
marked with large noses and ears, and they are often heavier than they
appear. Dwarves take great pride in their facial hair, often adopting
ancient styles worn by their ancestors. The men will sport long braids
in both their hair and beards and even the women sometimes wear light
beards. Dwarves often view a beard's fullness as a sign of prestige.
Although known for their bravery and sense of honor, Dwarves are not
known particularly for their intellect. Wise and strong, dwarves make
good priests as well as fighters.

Background:
Created by Brell Serilis, dwarves are stout and strong. The dwarves carved
their ancestral home of Kaladim deep into the dense rock of the Butcherblock
Mountains. They are excellent miners and possess an abiding love for stone
and earth, harvesting precious gems from their depths. Dwarves take pride
in their work and dwarven armor and weaponry is well known for its high
quality and durability. They often decorate their work with extravagant
designs and runes, showing their love for beauty yet practicality. The
buildings within the city of Kaladim were decorated with ornate carvings
on the stonework, showing yet again the pride Dwarven Artisans took in
their work. In honor of their ancestral homeland, many dwarves mark their
faces with symbols of their sacred earth. Dwarves are the most faithful
of friends but the most ferocious of enemies. It is not wise to get on
the wrong side of a dwarf!
Faith:
Dwarves are devoted to their creator, Brell. No matter how long his direct
influence has been absent from their lives, their faith will not waver.
