Dark Elf: Conquerors of the Underfoot
Dark elves have skin tones ranging from deep purple to blue with contrasting
lightly colored hair. Like other elves, they have pointed ears and graceful
features, make their coloring all the more exotic by human standards.
Averaging approximately 5 feet in height they are lithe humanoids with
defined musculature. Dark elves possess high intelligence and wisdom,
making them well suited to master the magical arts of the mage and priest.
Their agility is respectable and together with their innate cunning, can
greatly aid a dark elf on the path of the scout.

Background:
Legend has it that the Innoruuk, the Prince of Hate was so jealous of
Tunare's creation of the High Elf, that he captured the first elven king
and queen and tortured them over the span of 300 years, tearing them apart
and rebuilding them in his own twisted image, creating the dark elf. Thusly,
they are one of the three known ancient elf races, one of the oldest on
Norrath. They are known by the elf word, Teir'Dal, a word meaning "elf
of the abyss." In the darkness of the Underworld, they built their
city of Neriak, a city of dark majesty which was lost in the cataclysm.
The dark elves have embraced Hate as a guiding force in their lives believing
that Hate, when disciplined, makes them strong and focused. At the same
time when inspired in others, can be a means to corrupt and control them.
The practice of necromancy, which the Teir'Dal see as Innoruuk's gift
to their race, is very much at the core of their culture. Tier'Dal dress
is both alluring and functional and highly ornate, no matter for war or
ceremonies. Their garb often shows details illustrating the history of
their race or family house.
Dark elves look down upon all other races, but have no qualms using others
as their pawns. While ogres have regained their former intellect and are
no longer prone to Teir'Dal manipulation, dark elves will use anyone they
can to further their own agenda.
Faith:
The Teir'Dal remain devoted to their maker, Innoruuk. Their religion
is rigid to the extent of fanatism and tolerate no deviation or interpretation
of doctrine.
