Guide to Buying Items (In Freeport)
If you know who and where the merchant is:
The Innkeeper
Most player merchants can be found in the inns of their race's neighborhood.
Select your Merchant
Right clicking on the door will bring up the access menu. Selecting visit will bring up a list of merchants to go to. Choose the merchant you are looking for to enter.

Purchasing the item
Inside the shop. Here is our mercant, minding her store.

The Purchase Window
Right click the player merchant to open the menu allowing you to shop. Once you have begun shopping, this merchant is treated as any NPC merchant, with an inventory sortable by name or price.

If you don't know who is selling what...
Note: One way to stop having to make trips to the broker to see what is for sale is to put up a bulletin board in your home and you can then simply do searches from your home but you will not be able to purchase items through the board.
A waypoint path
Choosing an area from the Waypoint menu (Alt W) will pop up a wispish trail to lead you to your destination.

Brokers
There are brokers in each area of Freeport proper.
North Freeport
Set your waypoint for the C.M. Brushwuttle Studios (the paintbrush on the map). On the east side of this building you can find Broker Profallia.

East Freeport
This broker is located at the Freeport Docks. An easy way to travel here is via the mariners bell. On the opposite side of the dock you can find Broker Odyssneu.

South Freeport
Set your waypoint for to the Freeport Block & Tackle (the backpack on the map). Inside this shop you will find Broker Agamennus waiting for you.

West Freeport
Set your waypoint to The Blood Haze Inn (the bed on the map). Inside the inn you can find Broker Mallium.

From any of the brokers you can search for who is selling what in Freeport. Double clicking the broker will bring up the search window.. Select your search parameters and select "Find Items".

Purchasing from the broker
Notice that the price to buy iron cluster from Tanker is 1s 2c. Near the bottom of the screen it shows the players asking price (85c) and the brokers commission (17c). This merchant is also charging a 20% commission. In this example if you visit Tanker's room in Big Bend you would only have to pay 85c for the item.
If you are looking for items from Qeynos...
Blackmarket Merchant
Loacted in East Freeport is the Blackmarket Merchant. An easy way to travel here is via the mariner bells at the docks.

To the south-east of the mariner bell is an island out in the water where the blackmarket merchant is located.
Heres is the blackmarket merchant Fence G'Thal on the island.

Double clicking him brings up the merchant screen, just like the regular broker in West Freeport. Notice that the blackmarket merchant charges a whopping 40% commission.
