Already there is a shiny new launcher when logging in... and come tomorrow those who pre-ordered or go out and buy the retail expansion will be knee deep in Everquest II's sixth expansion Sentinal's Fate!!
If you're going to Gamestop to pick up your copy or even if you didn't plan on it you may want to consider picking up a $15 game card to receive an exclusive in game item! No word yet on what it is is but we've seen a lot of statues and cloaks given away for these type of rewards in the past - will it be something new?
Whether you are dying to try out the Battlegrounds, explore the new zones or dive into the new quests there will be plenty to think about tomorrow during the downtime to prepare for the update.

This is the last weekend to cram as much as possible in before the expansion so let that Bonus XP work for you! It runs from tomorrow afternoon to Monday evening.

If you're already following Everquest II on Twitter or Facebook, you may have seen the updates that we reached the goal for the gold level rewards!
Not only does this mean that a whopping 15,000+ of your fellow players are fans on Facebook, it means 500 Station cash will be added to all active EQ2 accounts tomorrow, and a /claim for the Community Pillowfight on Feb 16th. It also means the end of the promotion, and you may not have realized you received Station Cash from the gold and silver rewards, or that you have a Cloak of Pie waiting for you to claim.
Not sure how you want to spend your newly acquired Station Cash? You can check out the new items added this week including an awesome Purple Sparkle Ball and the Wand of Affection. This may also be a great opportunity to update your appearance wardrobe or redecorate your home.

There has been a lot of excitement surrounding EQ2 Battlegrounds coming in with the next expansion Sentine's Fate but not everyone knows what to expect.
Basically, it's a cross server battle with up to 48 players with a few familiar scenarios. You can find more about the gameplay and zones here. Lucky for us, it's on Test-Copy right now, where you can jump right in. Not only do you get the first crack at it, you may get a chance to battle SOE staff!
If you would rather wait until the official release, but would like a sneak peek, you can check out a video here. Will you jump at the chance to battle friends and foes from all EQ2 servers?
